Data is available from the national file (filenames starting with "us") and for Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Nebraska, Delaware, Michigan and Minnesota A (state) files. Typically, someone at the MCDC creates a custom aggregation or extract which they place here so that a user can access it via uexplore/dexter. These datasets will eventually be deleted. Includes CDs, metro areas, and sundry American Indian and Alaskan Native areas. These data based on custom data aggregation by MCDC. usregdiv.sas7bdat........Only 14 observations: US Totals, 4 US Regions and 9 US Divisions. Note that the geographic components of these areas in in the usgeocomps dataset. usstcnty.sas7bdat........Summaries for all states (SumLev 040) and counties (SumLev 050) in the country. ustracts.sas7bdat........This single data set has data for the almost 65,000 census tracts and tract equivalents in the entire U.S. P.R. is not included. Note that the data used to create this data set are stored in the xxtrbgs subdirectory (of this one) where there is one XXtracts.sas7bdat file per state (where XX is the state postal abbreviation). ustracts.sas7bndx........ usuas.sas7bdat...........Summaries for the new Urban Areas as defined in the spring of 2002 (based on 2000 censu data.) Included Urbanized Areas and Urban Clusters. These are complete UAs (SumLev 400) and UAs within states (SumLev 410). usuas00.sas7bvew......... uszip3s.sas7bvew.........3-digit ZIP code areas. SumLev 850. uszips.sas7bdat..........Every 5-digit ZIP code (or "ZCTA" as the Bureau prefers to call them - ZIP Code Tabulation Areas) as defined by the Bureau for the 2000 census. SumLev 860. Technically, there are a handful of these that cross state boundaries so the Bureau did not include a state code on these summaries. But we added one. variables.sas7bdat.......Metadata. Each obs describes a variable on these datasets. varstomap.sas7bdat.......Subset of variables for MSDIS to use in creating thematic map layers in their Missouri Internet Map Server application. Missouri block group level summaries. xxsl090/.................This subdirectory contains a series of state-based datasets with data for the Summary Level 090 (split block group) geography. These are the smallest geographic areas for which sample data is available. These summaries are valuable for aggregation applications. xxtrbgs/.................This directory contains summary data for each state at the census tract and block group levels (summary levels 140 and 150). There are two datasets per state, one with tract data and one with block group.
