1990 Demographic Profiles Generator

This application generates a single 1990 demographic profile for any of the supported geographic units, including census tract, block group, city (no size limit), five-digit ZIP code, state, county, or metro area for anywhere in the United States. Enter only codes relevant to the area for which you want data. See the help and examples page for more info.

These profiles may also be accessed via a "drill-down" menu system.

Two-digit state FIPS code:

(or postal abbreviation, or "us", etc. See the help page for more options.)

Three-digit county FIPS code:

(Look up county codes here; use only the last three digits of the five-digit codes on that page.)

Census tract / BNA code:

(Leading zeroes optional; state and county required.)

Census block group code:

(State, county, and tract required)

Four-digit census place code:

(Five-digit FIPS place code also OK. State required, county ignored. Leading zeroes must be coded.)

Five-digit ZIP code:

(1991 ZIPs. State recommended, but not required. County ignored. This is the code used on the 1990 STF3B file.)

Four-digit MSA or CMSA code:

(If a value entered for state, will display data for that state's portion of MSA.)

Four-digit PMSA code:

(If a value entered for state, will display data for that state's portion of PMSA.)
