The ACS normally releases its five-year data products in December of every year. However, according to the Bureau&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/newsroom\/press-releases\/2021\/acs-5-year-2016-2020.html\">statement<\/a>, &#8220;Additional time is needed to continue refining our methodology so that we can minimize the impact of nonresponse bias due to the COVID-19 pandemic.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>This delay will affect several of MCDC&#8217;s data applications, notably <a href=\"https:\/\/mcdc.missouri.edu\/applications\/acs\/profiles\/\">ACS Profiles<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/mcdc.missouri.edu\/applications\/capsACS.html\">Circular Area Profiles<\/a> (CAPS ACS), and <a href=\"https:\/\/mcdc.missouri.edu\/applications\/MO-county-factsheets\/\">Missouri County Fact Sheets<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Expect additional updates regarding this matter in December.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The U.S. Census Bureau announced on Nov. 10 that the American Community Survey (ACS) 2016-2020 five-year data release will be delayed until March 2022.
